Pythagoras Engine

Procedural polyhedron builder
The studio’s modular logic, running as software. Snap polyhedra face to face — tetrahedra, Johnson solids, prisms and cupolas — set height and rotation, then export the form you grew. The bodies behind Mirbreak are grown here.

M21
52 vertices · 100 faces

Modules stacked along a single axis — the growth rule applied in one direction.

M22
25 vertices · 46 faces

A short run of solids snapped face to face, each rotated against the last.

PE MODEL
140 vertices · 278 faces

Branching in more than one direction until the form closes on itself.

02 · SCULPTURE

Mirbreak

Mirrored modular sculptures
Hand-cut mirror tiles mounted on modular 3D-printed bodies grown in the Pythagoras Engine, using the centuries-old Ayeneh-Kari technique. Every face holds a triangular fragment of the room, so the piece changes as you move around it.

Death Culture

Hand-printing kiosk · with Ju Bergman
Death Culture traces the line from intolerance to a culture of death: stories of dying, carved into six lino stamps and printed live while visitors help place the body bags themselves. Making people part of the story, not an audience to it, is the project's way out of totalitarianism.

About Soboof

A design studio working across 3D form, 2D graphics and fabrication: built on sustainability and hands-on social engagement.

Soboof is a design studio working in 3D and 2D graphics and fabrication: procedural software, mirrored sculpture, and hand-pulled print. The work is made to be built with, not simply bought.

The work spans procedural software, 3D-printed sculpture and hand-pulled print, but the method stays constant: set a rule, then let material or maker fill it in. A single modular logic, or a single carved block, is repeated and varied until each result is particular rather than a copy of the last.

Making happens in public as often as it happens alone. A hand-printing kiosk invites visitors to pull their own poster; a workshop teaches the Ayeneh-Kari mirror-tiling technique behind the sculptures. Sustainability and hands-on social engagement run through both: materials are chosen to last, and the tools are handed to whoever wants to use them.
