Pythagoras Engine

Procedural polyhedron builder
The studio’s modular logic, running as software. Snap polyhedra face to face — tetrahedra, Johnson solids, prisms and cupolas — set height and rotation, then export the form you grew. The bodies behind Mirbreak are grown here.

M21
52 vertices · 100 faces

Modules stacked along a single axis — the growth rule applied in one direction.

M22
25 vertices · 46 faces

A short run of solids snapped face to face, each rotated against the last.

PE MODEL
140 vertices · 278 faces

Branching in more than one direction until the form closes on itself.

02 · SCULPTURE

Mirbreak

Mirrored modular sculptures
Hand-cut mirror tiles mounted on modular 3D-printed bodies grown in the Pythagoras Engine, using the centuries-old Ayeneh-Kari technique. Every face holds a triangular fragment of the room, so the piece changes as you move around it.

Death Culture

Hand-printing kiosk · with Ju Bergman
Six carved lino stamps: cypress, hound, bird of prey, mountain, flame, cloud. They are printed live on site while visitors help place the body bags on the paper. 43 sheets documented so far, across two collections.

Struck the conventional way — compass on the outer edge of the base sack, rr = 2·rb + sw.

Vault

The same wall run along a length, closing on the catenary a barrel stands in.

About Soboof

A design studio working across 3D form, 2D graphics and fabrication — built on sustainability and hands-on social engagement.

Soboof is a design studio working in 3D and 2D graphics and fabrication — procedural software, mirrored sculpture, and hand-pulled print. The work is made to be built with, not simply bought.

The work sits at the intersection of sacred architecture, algorithmic geometry, and craft. A single modular logic — tetrahedron, pyramid, dodecahedron — is repeated, varied, and pushed until it becomes organic: a bird, a fox, a relic.

Surfaces are hand-finished in the Ayeneh-Kari tradition — a centuries-old Persian technique of mirror inlay used in palaces and shrines. Each triangular shard captures a fragment of reality, so the piece changes with every viewer.
